Free Battle Map Download + Site Redesign
Redesigned my site, did a blog on battle maps, and you can download a free battle map!
Well, hey there, folks. I’ve been working on rebuilding my primary website, and even moved it to a new domain: https://bjk.games. I like that one better, and I needed to get a new WordPress theme on it, anyway.
That said, I posted a new blog over there about battle maps, and it included a download of my Burn Wraith cemetery battlemap that I did during Morktober of last year.
I enjoy map-making, and it’s something I really want to get better at.
I had a contract late last year with a pretty big publisher to provide some “map sketches” that I did in Inkarnate, and I’ve been using Dungeon Alchemist lately for some of my more recent adventures like Welcome to GingerDEAD House.
It’s fun, and I think I’m getting okay at it.
Eventually, I hope I can get good enough to have a small map shop on my site, which has a bunch of battle maps for different themes. Who knows if that’ll happen, but a boy can dream, right?
Free Map Download
Anyway, if you’re here for your free download, just click the image below to snag your 4000x3000px copy of the Blacksteel Mountain map I finished up the other day.
It’s part of a scenario I’m working on, and I thought it was a fun one to try some different techniques in Inkarnate.
It’s just the first of them for that area, so keep an eye out for the full set. Fun stuff.
As I continue carting the tography, I’ll be putting some map packs on here as a subscriber bonuses, so watch for that, too.

I also did a post over on Geek to Geek about cRPGs that I thought you might be interested in reading, so if that’s your jam—or even if it’s not, because that’s kind of the point of it—you can read it here:
Until next time, nerds!
You made a chart! 😊 read your Geek article. Really interesting.
